The Rocky Mountain Lions Eye
Institute
The
Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute is the only university-based eye
institute between Salt Lake City and Omaha from the Canadian to the
Mexican border – it is dedicated to saving people’s sight.
Located on the campus of the University of
Colorado Health Sciences Center at Fitzsimons, the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute is an invaluable resource for people throughout the
Rocky Mountain region.
Doctors at the Eye Institute include
specialists in every subspecialty of ophthalmology. The physicians are conducting research in
treating diseases such as macular degeneration and glaucoma as well as providing clinical care.
The Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute provides an educational setting where medical students, residents, fellows and practicing
ophthalmologists are trained in the newest advances in the care of eye disease. Today the Eye
Institute has some 30,000 patient visits each year and the miracle of saving and preserving eyesight is a regular occurrence.
Built in significant part through the vision
and funding efforts of the Rocky Mountain Lions Eye Institute Foundation, the Eye Institute is the pinnacle of service to those with serious
vision problems in the Rocky Mountain region.
