Just what is the Sustaining Membership Program?

It’s a program were individual Lions can contribute to the Colorado Lions Foundation (CLF) and be recognized for their support, with a membership pin. There are (3) three pin levels, starting with the Gold Level at $100, the Silver Level at $50 and the Copper Level at $25. The first year you receive your level pin and each year after the first you will receive a “year chevron” showing our continued support of the Foundation. The table below shows how the monies received will be allocated between the Trust Account, Grant Program and program operations.

If for example, 500 Lions became Sustaining Members based on the breakdown of 100 Gold Level Members, 100 Silver Level Members and 300 Cooper Level Members the CLF would have $13,750 going into the Trust Account, $6,250 set aside for the Grant Program and $2,500 for Sustaining Membership operational cost. This would be in addition to monies received for Humanitarian Awards, Anne Sullivan Awards, which go into the Trust Account only.

The additional monies in the Grant Program would be available to your clubs on a Matching Grant Bases for local projects and community projects.

These monies will also go towards the Helen Keller Award and Club Patch, if your club has an average of $25 per club member of monies going to the CLF.
